Minnesota Zoo
The Minnesota Zoo drew over 1.4 million visitors in 2024, setting the attendance record for the zoo’s nearly 50-year history and beating the previous record from 2012. Nemer Fieger has been a proud extension of the Zoo’s publicity team since our collaboration celebrating the Treetop Trail. In the fall of 2024, we worked on several projects:
Tiger Cubs & Sea Lions: The zoo welcomed two Amur tiger cubs and two adult sea lions into their new homes in September! From a press release written and shared by Nemer Fieger, widespread media coverage meant more than 2.1 billion potential views of the cute cubs and creatures.
Jack O Lantern Spectacular: The 6th annual event featuring thousands of illuminated and intricately carved pumpkins was widely covered by regional media! Nemer Fieger wrote and shared a press release, and worked with media on-site. An estimated 200+ media hits totaling more than one billion potential impressions resulted in another sold out year.
Beastly Bash: An important fundraising and educational event, Nemer Fieger shared a press release inviting the community to the event.
Influencer Weekend: A dozen influencers and media personalities brought their families for an adventure at the Zoo the second weekend of September, including the new tiger cubs and Hispanic Heritage Day. Nemer Fieger invited the influencers and coordinated details, logistics and an itinerary of adventures for the VIP guests. In total, the project resulted in more than 50 social media posts and stories reaching more than 800,000 combined followers.
