Hollywood’s finest gathered in Beverly Hills on Sunday for the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s 76th Annual Golden Globe Awards, honoring achievements in film and television. Nemer Fieger was thrilled to see our studio client’s films take home the top award. Universal Pictures’ drama Green Book won three awards at Sunday night’s Golden Globes, including Best Supporting Actor for Mahershala Ali, Best Screenplay, and Best Motion Picture—Musical or Comedy. The film was co-produced by our friend and Minnesota native Jim Burke, who was in the Twin Cities in October when Green Book opened the Twin Cities Film Festival. In addition to Green Book, other winners that we had the privilege to work on included: Regina King winning Best Supporting Actress for Annapurna Pictures’ If Beale Street Could Talk, Christian Bale winning Best Actor in a Comedy or Musical for Annapurna Pictures’ Vice, and Justin Hurwitz winning Best Original Score for Universal Pictures’ First Man. The Golden Globes are the first of many more awards ceremonies to come including the Critics’ Choice Awards airing this Sunday and the 91st Annual Academy Awards airing Sunday, February 24.

We encourage you to see these films if you haven’t yet, so you’ll be ready to cast your vote for the Oscars!
