CLIENT PROJECT PROFILE: US Wine Transport
Every client has a story and it’s our job to help tell that story in a memorable way. When US Wine Transport (USWT) came to us for a branding assignment, we couldn’t wait to get started. Our charge was to develop a logo and tagline to tell their story in one simple visual that would represent the company’s brand and 30 years of success.
As successful as USWT has been, the company did not have a logo. They had been using what’s called a word mark, which is a type-only style of logo that did not appropriately represent USWT. As depicted here, the new logo we designed really helps represent USWT’s personality and story.
Their business model is very unique; they pick up wine from their client wineries in California, Oregon and Washington, and deliver it to the USWT warehouse in Sonoma. The wine is then carefully re-packed and transported to 19 eastern states and then on to local wine distributors and restaurants. This entire process happens in a 10-day cycle, which keeps USWT’s client inventory more manageable.
The story behind the business model is remarkable. This family-owned and managed SoCal Company is so much more than a “trucking company” like their competitors. USWT is truly a client-centric, white glove logistics partner to both the wineries and eastern distributors. Not only does USWT run a closed loop delivery schedule, they have also been known to expedite smaller orders for special events and requests.
We enjoyed creating this new logo and tagline and are happy to hear that USWT’s high quality client service has brought them rapid word-of-mouth referrals within the industry, making it a win-win for all involved.
