As an art director, my job allows me to do the things I love – create and design. And since I don’t always want to stop doing that at the end of the work day, I’ve found lots of creative outlet in designing my own stuff. Doing this led to some great opportunities, such as winning the 2017 Surly Brewing coaster contest (read more about that here).

Continuing that thread of putting myself out there, this Spring I decided to see if I have what it takes to display and sell my art, so I applied to have a booth at the Art-A-Whirl event at Tattersall Distillery. Luckily, I was accepted, and while this was very exciting, I had not jumped this far out of my comfort zone before, so it felt a bit intimidating.  But I did it and am so glad I did, as it was challenging, rewarding and extremely validating. I’m inspired to show my art in more shows and set-up a store on my personal website (coming soon).

My experience at Nemer Fieger really prepped me for this opportunity, as I am well-versed in branding, event planning and client interaction. Most of the other exhibitors at Art-A-Whirl did not have this advantage and were full of questions for me.

If you’d like to see my art, please visit my website or see a sampling below. I’m grateful for what Nemer Fieger has taught me and hope this inspires you to take action with your talents as well!
