WHAT’S HAPPENING: SAINT PAUL WINTER CARNIVAL, REBUILDING TOGETHER TWIN CITIES AND OF COURSE, SUPER BOWL LII!
Say what you will about winter in the Twin Cities, but we love it. We always have plenty of client events that celebrate this cold season and this year, two of those events are tied to Super Bowl LII!
We have been handling the media relations for the Saint Paul Winter Carnival for a decade and this year is bigger and better than ever with the must-see Ecolab Ice Palace presented by Spire Credit Union standing 70 feet high and crafted from over 4,000 ice blocks! The Coolest Celebration on Earth™ has extended to 17 days for more Super Bowl fun with countless free events to entertain our local supporters and out-of-town visitors. Our media relations team has been hustling hard to get the word out about this year’s Winter Carnival and our sweat equity is paying off. The hits are still coming but so far we’ve garnered international and national coverage, including coverage from Japan, Germany, Mexico, the Weather Channel, and plenty of front page newspaper hits.
We have also been busy over in Minneapolis, publicizing client Rebuilding Together Twin Cities’ 23rd annual community revitalization project, Kickoff to Rebuild. This Super Bowl-sanctioned event is happening February 2 and volunteers will be working with NFL players to revitalize a variety of accessibility and livability services at St. Peter’s AME Church and four homes. To date, this annual event has impacted nearly 140 homes, engaged 5,000 volunteers and invested more than $5 million to communities in need.
We stand tall in our beloved cozy Sorel boots as we thank our clients for creating such goodness in our community. Welcome to the Bold North!
