Nemer Fieger Accepts 2018 Minnesota Keystone Program Award
A few months back we announced that we had been named a 2018 Minnesota Keystone Program honoree in the small business category. Recently, we accepted that award and wanted to share some details and photos with you.
The awards ceremony was held at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis and included opening remarks from Minneapolis Regional Chamber President and CEO Jonathan Weinhagen. Brett Carter, Sr. of Xcel Energy also spoke, along with Chief Strategy Officer of the Minnesota Timberwolves & Lynx Ted Johnson. The keynote speaker was Kevin Warren, Chief Operating Officer of the Minnesota Vikings, and he gave a very thoughtful and motivating speech, encouraging everyone to give more to our community.
The Chamber created a video for all three honoree companies, which can be viewed here. Nemer Fieger’s video highlighted our community partner CEAP and included CEAP’s President Clare Brumback, who was able to join us for the ceremony along with her board chair and two employees.
Led by the Minneapolis Regional Chamber, the 42nd annual Minnesota Keystone Program recognizes companies for their generous contributions to the community via their outstanding and unique giving programs. Other winners include Highland Bank, recipient of the medium-sized business award and Walser Automotive Group, recipient of the large business award.
The Minnesota Keystone Program encourages any Minnesota based company that gives at least two to five percent of their pre-tax earnings back to the community to join. The companies can give back through any combination of volunteer time, in-kind or cash donations.
All in all, it was a very special day. We are honored to have been chosen for this award and are proud to stand beside Highland Bank and Walser Automotive Group.
